Welcome
Welcome to FACT.
This is the forum of the Feminist ACTivist support network.
(Pro-)Feminist people of all (really all, not just "male" and female") genders can exchange their experiences being an in any way politically active feminist and support each other.
Political activism here means not only belonging to a certain political group, having organised demos or published a feminist magazine, anybody who takes a feminist position in their everyday life having to face the discussions about it is welcome here.
Being a feminist is often a tough struggle that nobody should have to fight all alone.

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest, which gives you limited access to view most discussions and access our other features. By joining our free community, you will have access to post topics, communicate privately with other members (PM), respond to polls, upload content, and access many other special features.
In the registration process, you will, however, be asked to identify yourself as either male or female. Sorry about that. This question is automatically included by the provider of the forum and there is nothing we can change about that. We could not find any provider of free forums who offers a registration without this question.
Whatever gender you check will not be visible in your profile to other users. The forum-administration will not give a damn about what you check.
Please don't feel obliged to give a "correct" answer. Feel free to lie deliberately about it. Gender-dualism needs to be deconstructed.
Registration is fast, simple, and absolutely free, so please, join our community today!

My name is Zora, I'm from Berlin, Germany. I am one of the forum administrators and moderators.
You can not only reach me here on the forum, but also on skype (pinke zora) and through e-mail.
I consider myself a rather radical queerfeminist. I'm 25 years old. I'd call myself female whenever strategic essentialism is necessary, but I do regard gender, as well as a binary system of sex, a a social construct. I view identities as multiple, temporary and changing as well as context-bound.
I do not have a sexual orientation "for life", best word I got for it would be kosmosexual.
As a further positioning, I'd like to mention that I am a white German person. (Please don't misunderstand, I'm not mentioning that because I'm proud of it or crap like that, I'm doing because for some people searching for support, it might be important to know.)

I'm speaking German and English.
